Your Chance to Shine—Audition for Vocal Showcase

If you want to show off your singing skills, meet other singers from Prince George’s County, and maybe even win a prize, then now is the time to schedule an audition for the 2012 Xtreme Teens Rising Stars Vocal Showcase. This event, which takes place annually, allows teens with a talent to share it with the world, whether that means facing a fear of the stage, or letting their inner celebrities shine. Auditions to perform started February 18, and the latest available time to audition is March 24. Those who make the cut will perform in the Showcase on Saturday May 12, at the Ina & Jack Kay Theatre in the University of Maryland’s Performing Arts Center. With the look of an Old Broadway House, complete with lavish decorating and an opera-worthy stage, the Kay Theatre gives the performers a real sense of stardom.
