TEEN COTILLION WEEK 7 - HEADSHOTS AND DANCE PRACTICE
Lights, Camera, SMILE!
As the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. It’s Week 7, time for pictures and practice. Debs and Beaus had a chance to brush off their styles and add a little glimmer as featured star attractions for their “BIG DAY.” With assistance from the hard working cotillion committee members, Debs were able to add a little extra sparkle as a final touch. And the Beaus did not fall short either, as they donned their tuxedo jackets and spruced-up haircuts. We can’t show the finish product, but you will certainly be amazed with the final results. Don’t forget to look in the Souvenir book coming this May!

Memories that Will Last
Each year the Debs and Beaus are required to learn a few dances in preparation for the Cotillion Ball. Tonight’s activities included Debs learning how to waltz gracefully and the Beaus were taught how to lead their dance partner. A few stumbles and sore toes later, the group began to look like pros. A few flashbacks by the parents and funny moments for teens, this experience is sure to make for great memories. Here’s what some of the teens had to say about their experience:
“I enjoyed practicing the dance because I got to spend time with my father”—Zakiyyah Thompson
“I’m actually home schooled, so I don’t normally get the whole picture day for school. It’s so exciting to come here and experience this. I really feel like I’m moving towards something special.”—Alexis Neblett
