Deer Management Comments

I LIVE IN ONE OF THE DEVELOPMENTS BEHIND ENTERPRISE GOLF COURSES. WE ALREADY HAVE DEER RUNNING THRU OUR NEIGHBORHOODS/YARDS NOW. IF A DEER HARVEST HAPPENS OVER AT THE GOLF COURSE, WHAT'S TO KEEP MORE OF THEM FROM RUNNING AND HIDING OUT IN OUR NEIGHBORHOODS. THEY'RE ALREADY WALKING THRU THE NEIGHBORHOODS DURING THE DAY AND SEEM TO FEAR HUMANS LESS AND LESS.

(Enterprise Golf Course) Allow unlimited hunting to the public for a specified time. Allow hunting with firearms from an elevated stand 15' or higher in elevation. Do not Steal this opportunity from the Citizens of Maryland. If you haven't reached your specified cull number in the "Special Season" timeframe you allocate to the public then you can eradicate the rest by allowing the otherwise bored Park Police to have the time of their lives shooting deer all night while being paid by the same citizens of this state.

Open it (Oxon Hill Manor) up to Public Hunting. If you really need to reduce the deer herd allow unlimited numbers of deer to be taken by hunters for a specified period of time. Close the park to non-hunting activity for that specified time if necessary. Allow the use of firearms from an elevated stand of at least 15'. Do not steal this opportunity away from the citizens of Maryland who have already lost so much of their public hunting lands. On another note I'm retired Army Infantry. I was a Sniper 11BB4 and an Instructor at the US Army Sniper School. "Park Ranger Sharpshooters" Are you serious?

The deer are a dangerous nuisance. I have had the misfortune of hitting one on the road in my car. I support reducing the deer population in this manor and wish you would expand the program to the Clinton area and Tinker's Creek Stream Valley Park.

Deer are constantly in my yard and even when I go outside, make noise, throw rocks, they will not move on. Deer repellent doesn't work. They eat my grass, shrubbery, flowers and leave feces on my lawn costing money until I just gave up. My yard is a mess because of their grazing. Please do something to reduce the population. Thank you.

I am a resident of P G Count and live in the Lake Arbor area. I have been having a problem with dears for the several years. Deers come on my property via a wooded area behind my home. The eat all, yes all my perennial plants each and every year. I have replanted plants that are suppose to be deer tolerant. I have found this does not always work and the deers eat those plants as well. These deers are so brave that my neighbor said a dear walked along sire him while he was cutting grass and crossed the street like he did not exist. I think deers are a beautiful animal but they are destroying landscapes, and they are not afraid of humans, so I am afraid that one of the might bite and pass on the lyme disease. think "to cull" deers is a great solution.

The deer population has taken over my yard back and front. It's not just one or two, but a herd grazing and pooping.
